Zise guide

The sizes of Imperio Dog Petit are designed for small breeds.

The measures will help because each doggy is unique, even two doggies of the same breed can be of different sizes.

You will find the ideal size very easy by following these instructions.

The following table with Standard sizes serves to know which category you will place your doggy, for instance if it is XS-S, S-M, M-L. However, this isn't definitive information at moment of buying a clothing because the size from one manufacturer to another may vary. But don't worry, you'll have at your disposal in the description of each item, the exact and real measurements of the clothes and / or accessory in particular (in normal position on a flat place without stretching).

Remember that the clothes must be to the body, slightly loose in order to give space and comfort but neither must be large or tight. For this reason, the best is to get accurate measurements and be sure that there isn't errors in the ideal size. If you are unsure between two sizes, always choose the larger one.

Also you don't forget to consider the design of the clothings because some ones are made to be longer and others ones shorter (this measurement is: BACK).

In conclusion, the most important measurements are CHEST and NECK. When defining the size of a clothing, the baggy of the design is already taken into account. For example, if it's a vest and there's a extra inch in the CHEST, it's to allow for wearing other clothing underneath; conversely, if it were a t-shirt, it would usually be more fitted.

How to get the measures

To choose the best clothing size, you will get the measures of your doggy with a tape measure as follows:

1. Neck
Measure the circumference of the neck, loose manner (leaving 0,4 inch looseness).
2. Chest
Measure the circumference around the area of more volume, usually it is the nearest part forelegs.
3. Back length
Measure from the base of the neck to the beginning of the tail.

Secondary measures, for example if you want trousers or shoes:

4. Waist
Measure the waist circumference just ahead of the hind legs.
5. Paw
Put one leg on a sheet's paper (on the floor ) and mark with a pencil all around paw. So you'll have the paw on the paper. In this drawn you'll make 2 straight lines, one of them vertical (it will be the length of the paw) and the other horizontal (it will be the width of the paw).
